Mary & Joseph Found Courage Through STEWARDSHIP

Tippie, a dear family friend, gave Chelsea and I this stained-glass picture of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus for our first Christmas in 2020 as newly minted parents:

This beautiful stained-glass artwork highlights the hard work and critical role Joseph and Mary played as STEWARDS and parents to Jesus.

For years we have hung this piece of art in our kitchen as a reminder to remain steadfast in the role of STEWARDSHIP (click here to read more on stewardship).

Mary and Joseph must have been so scared in the journey of becoming parents. Not only were they first time parents, but they were given the responsibility to play a critical role in the divine plan!

Mary and Joseph were on a treacherous journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the Roman census. Once in Bethlehem, they could not find lodging!

Despite the dangerous path to Bethlehem, the political & social unrest of the times, and the overwhelming responsibility that rest upon Mary and Joseph’s shoulders, they were incredible STEWARDS to the birth of their son, Jesus.

In the year ahead I’m grateful to continue to explore with you the depth & richness of STEWARDSHIP.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and holiday season.

Onward,

Matt
