My stumbling - no one ever does it alone
When I think about great teams, these three quickly come to mind:
Apple revolutionized the 21st century.
The Bulls dominated the sports world.
Berkshire Hathaway is the investment gold standard.
These companies had iconic leaders but when learning more about these stories there is a common theme:
Steve Jobs would not have been Steve Jobs without Steve Wozniak (tech wizard).
Michael Jordan would not have been Michael Jordan without Scottie Pippen (2nd best player in the league behind Jordan).
Warren Buffett would not have been Warren Buffet without Charlie Munger (has been considered the “brains” behind Berkshire).
World class performance requires word class support. High performance is never done in isolation. No one carries the burden alone.
“You develop a team to achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. All of us alone are weaker, by far, than if all of us are together”. - Mike Krzyzewski, former & legendary Duke University Basketball coach
My biggest takeaway in the 2021-2022 leadership transition is how grateful I am for OUR team. Thank you.
We’ve been actively building OUR team and we’re just getting started!
