What we are building toward

I got goose bumps last week while I was talking with a teammate. He was describing his excitement and how he‘s seeing the organization evolve and invest in the future to realize the vision.

It made me pause and reflect on the shift.

Here’s my attempt at summarizing the paradigm shift we have been undergoing and building toward.

Trust & Inspire Model: “How can I help?”

1. Vivid Vision: the direction we are heading to serve our customers and all stakeholders in the business. Ultimate recruiting tool for “A” players and alignment for the team. 

2. Core Values: The spirit of the organization. The core of the culture of the organization. The behaviors that we promote, hire, & fire from. The language and stories we build the organization around.

3. "S.L". - Org Chart Flip - Servant Leadership: The organizational chart is flipped upside down. The organization is in a posture of service.

Servant leaders are like master gardeners:

  1. Listening - understanding

  2. Acting - cultivating & coaching

  3. Upholding - getting rid of weeds

4. Strategic Position: The core focus of the organization to differentiate itself in the marketplace. The strategic position is at the heart of all strategy and the reference point for all initiatives driven through the organization.

I have learned so much over the past 19 months and I hope you feel the same.
