Love with no place to go-grief

I had an unspeakable hard day… an unexpected passing of an incredible teammate.

A good man. Working an honest job. Gone.

I’ve had a flood of emotions. Right now, it’s mostly grief for the family and the team.

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go”

Death binds us all. Life is so very fickle. At the end, it comes down to relationships and love.

We, as leaders, have such a noble role to cultivate an environment for our teammates to have meaningful work and meaningful relationships. We only get 4,000 weeks on earth if we’re lucky.

In service,

Matt
